Soccer for Youth/Adults with Special Needs

2023 Take On Sports Soccer Season Details: 

Dates/Times:  June 17, June 24, July 8, July 15, July 22, and July 29 (Saturdays, between 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.) 

• Please Note:  There will be no Soccer game on Saturday, July 1, due to the July 4th holiday.

• This league runs six weeks.  (Make-up dates included above, if needed.) 

• A parent, legal guardian, or authorized caregiver is required to remain on-site during any Take On Sports activity.

Youth Program:

• Registration Fee: $55 includes T-shirt and trophy

  • A $25 late fee will be assessed on all registrations received after May 15, 2023.

Youth Ages:   

• Must be 5 years of age as of April 1, 2023.  (Eligible through 22nd birthday)

Buddy Volunteers: 

• No registration fee (will receive free Buddy Volunteer T-shirt)

• Must be 10 years of age as of April 1, 2023.

Adult Program:

• Registration Fee: $55 includes T-shirt and trophy

  • A $25 late fee will be assessed on all registrations received after May 15, 2023.

• Athletes age 23 and up.

• Athletes are paired with Buddy Volunteers.

Buddy Volunteers: 

• No registration fee (will receive free Buddy Volunteer T-shirt)
• Must be 18 years of age or older by April 1, 2023. (Background Check required)

Additional Information:

Athletes:   

• Athletes must wear shin guards and athletic shoes.  Shin guards aren't provided.  No soccer cleats permitted.

• Teams are setup according to skills and abilities instead of age. 

• Every athlete gets a chance to kick, dribble, pass and score. 

• Athletes are paired with Buddy Volunteers.

Buddy Volunteers: 

• Assist athletes on the field providing instruction and encouragement.

• Buddy Volunteers 18 years of age or older are required to have a Volunteer Background Check.  Information on this process will be provided by the Sports Commissioner.
