General Information

WCWAA’s Cheerleading is available to participants ranging in ages 5-12 years old as of July 31, 2022.  No experience is required and there are no try-outs of any kind!

Our goal is to provide a FUN learning environment as we familiarize your daughter with the fundamentals of cheerleading all while emphasizing the importance of academic success.  Participation in the Spirit Program provides all qualified cheerleaders an opportunity to be part of the team and we encourage the development of qualities important for a successful young athlete long after the program has ended.  Teamwork, Positive Attitude, Good Sportsmanship, Successfully achieving a goal through hard work along with the opportunity to meet new friends…. and the list can go on!

Non-Competitive Cheerleading is offered to girls ages 5-12.  Cheerleaders will be placed on a team in the appropriate division based on age (as of July 31, 2022), available coaches and the total number of girls registering.  Squad assignments will be determined after registrations have been completed but we certainly make every effort to accommodate all requests for friends to be part of the same squad.  Please be sure to indicate that on your registration if you have a special request.

Practices will be held one night a week and are typically held at Optimist Park between 6-8 pm timeframes. Final practice schedules will be provided as soon as registration closes and teams are formed. Game day schedules will be provided when the football schedule is created. All cheerleaders will cheer at home games for their division game. All regular-season games are scheduled to be played on Saturdays beginning in September.

The regular season generally runs through October with post-season/playoff games that could run through the second Saturday of November.
